For many years all inflatables were made of Neoprene/Hypalon (or rubber) materials. Today modern materials and construction processes have made it possible to make inflatables out of strong plastic materials called PVC or Strongan (Zodiac's fabric). So, today most inflatables are made out of PVC or Hypalon. Each fabric is different and requires different fabric and glue for repairs.

These regulations are currently being applied with little notice so it is imperative that there be a central database that is constantly updated for cruisers to refer to.

Most monohulls larger than a dinghy require ballast, depending on the design ballast will be 20 to 50 percent of the displacement. 2/ Depart; from Wangerai NZ, you join boat there, we arrive Savu Savu Fiji. you leave the boat there (and so do I) I need one other person only, so total on board will be 2. I will need help with putting all the sails and gear back into order on the boat and taking them off at the other end as the boat is laid up on the ground now and will be left the same way in Fiji. this takes about 2 casual days.
3/ Crew; is responsible for travel expenses to and from port of arrival and port of departure
4/ Trip duration; 7 to 9 days, departure date betwean may 7 and 12 weather permitting
